POLITICAL FASHION SHOW {m}agandá magazine’s Invisible Runway [INFO SESSION]

we are proud to present:

__INVISIBLE RUNWAY__
a performance art piece
by {m}agandá magazine

Invisible Runway is a political fashion show and scholarship fundraiser for incoming and continuing AB 540* students at the University of California, Berkeley.

Our show incorporates poetry, mixed media, and fashion, to narrate untold undocumented immigration stories. As political and social forces have impressed an invisibility upon immigrant communities,
our collective struggle to ensure that these stories remain visible is more apparent now than ever.

. the challenge .
Designers will be paired with an individual’s story
(portrayed through poetry, spoken word, or other art media)
and then collaborate with this inspiration to produce critical artwork.

<>

. we are seeking .

// POETS & ARTISTS //
from all communities and backgrounds to share your stories;

// DESIGNERS //
(you can submit as a group) of all skill levels to submit a three-piece-minimum collection;

// & VOLUNTEERS //
to help make the vision a reality.

<>

To learn more & dialogue about the project, our vision,
and how you can contribute to Invisible Runway,
